Apogee Engineering has an opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer that can provide senior-level engineering support to protect and assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Information Systems supporting the NASIC mission. This position designs, implements, and maintains security controls and architectures in accordance with DoD and Air Force policies, and supports information systems security engineering activities across the NAISC portfolio.

Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and implementation of secure system architectures and engineering solutions for information systems.
- Apply engineering principles, security standards, and best practices to harden systems and networks against cyber threats.
- Participate in requirements analysis, system trade studies, and risk analyses focused on cybersecurity posture.
- Support accreditation and assessment activities, providing technical artifacts and engineering input to RMF and other security processes.
- Prepare and present technical reports, briefings, and documentation on security engineering designs, risks, and mitigations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to journeyman and junior cyber engineering staff.
Minimum Experience:
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: TS/SCICertifications: CISSP or DoD 8140-compliant certification (e.g., other IAM/IASAE category certifications).
Education / Years of Experience:
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the cybersecurity or information systems engineering functional area.
- Master’s degree in a field relevant to cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, engineering, or related discipline. Eight (8) additional years of work experience may be substituted for the Master’s degree, or four (4) additional years of work experience plus a Bachelor’s degree may be substituted.
- Demonstrated experience performing complex, mission-critical cybersecurity engineering tasks, leading technical efforts, and supporting DoD or similar programs
