Strategic Data Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer I to help implement and maintain cybersecurity protections across mission-critical networks at NIWC Pacific. This role supports cybersecurity compliance, vulnerability mitigation, and system security monitoring within secure RDT&E environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls in accordance with DoD policies and standards
- Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities and compliance requirements
- Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist in implementing cybersecurity measures to improve network defense and resilience
- Support incident response activities and security breach reporting
- Ensure protection of digital systems, infrastructure, and sensitive data
- Assist with security documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking
Qualifications
- Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliant – IAT/IAM/IASAE Level I)
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mathematics with computer science concentration, or related field preferred
- Active Secret Security Clearance
