Responsibilities
- Monitors networks and systems for security issues, suspicious activities, and compliance.
- Assists in investigating security breaches/incidents and documenting findings.
- Participates in system analysis, vulnerability identification, and basic compliance testing.
- Supports log analysis to identify anomalous traffic or potential data leaks.
- Prepares technical summaries and maintains detailed records.
- Communicates compliance gaps and remediation steps to stakeholders.
- Maintains awareness of vulnerabilities and threat intelligence.
- Assists with audits, data calls, and compliance activities.
- Contributes to incident response efforts and post-incident reviews.
- Supports implementation and monitoring of security controls and toolsets.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience expected.
- Industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA CySA+, Security+, CEH) may substitute for some experience.
- Familiarity with federal security standards and compliance frameworks is an asset.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and learn new technologies or regulations in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work on site up to 5 days per week and the ability to keep or hold a Top-Secret Clearance
