Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing information security team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the detection, analysis, and response to security incidents, as well as contributing to the overall improvement of our security posture. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging field.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing various monitoring inputs to identify malicious sources and potential security threats, incidents and vulnerabilities.

  • Utilize Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems to investigate, correlate, and remediate security incidents and threat trends.

  • Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery with internal and 3rd party resources when necessary.

  • Participate in tabletop exercises to test and improve incident response plans.

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of security documentation and procedures.

  • Collaborating with Information Technology Department to achieve enterprise cybersecurity goals.

  • Coordinating and managing the multiple cybersecurity programs and initiatives including, but not limited to, educational cyber awareness initiatives for multiple business entities within the enterprise

  • Stay up to date on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies and open to acquiring new skills and opportunities for professional growth..

  • Support on-call evening, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis

  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Exposure to incident response methodologies and procedures.

  • Conceptual understanding of InfoSec priorities in the enterprise.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including interfacing with senior and executive leadership routinely.

  • Familiarity with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel).

  • Ability to evaluate emails for phishing clues and analyze email headers.

  • Familiarity with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) systems (e.g., CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Carbon Black).

  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent organizational and project administration skills.

  • Experience working with IT Networks.

  • Ability to understand and function in a complex business network of affiliates and subsidiaries.

  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC, or CEH.

  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

  • Knowledge of networking protocols and security concepts.
