Ericsson is seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Intern to support its North American business. The role offers hands-on experience across cybersecurity topics, mission-focused projects, and exposure to a fast-paced, evolving technology environment. Interns will develop security skills and career potential while contributing to Ericsson's leadership in global telecommunications, including its strong position in the U.S. wireless network market.
What you will do
- Collaborate with security stakeholders to identify manual, repetitive, or time-consuming tasks suitable for automation or AI augmentation.
- Design and implement lightweight tools, scripts, and workflows to automate data collection, correlation, and reporting for security operations.
- Prototype AI agents (e.g., chatbots, decision-support tools) that assist with security investigations, documentation, and routine queries.
- Integrate automation solutions with existing systems and data sources where feasible (e.g., ticketing systems, monitoring tools, internal dashboards).
- Document designs, code, and usage instructions to ensure solutions can be operated and maintained by the security team.
- Contribute to metrics and dashboards that show efficiency gains and impact from automation and AI tools.
- Developing and deploying Agentic solutions.
- Participate in regular check-ins and demos to present progress, gather feedback, and refine implementations.
You will bring:
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Solid programming skills.
- Familiarity with APIs, scripting, and automation frameworks (for example, using Python libraries, REST APIs, or workflow automation tools).
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical experience using AI libraries, frameworks, or APIs (e.g., working with language models or simple classifiers).
- Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to break down complex tasks into smaller, automatable components.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to explain technical solutions in clear, concise terms to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver commitments within a structured project timeline.
Eligibility requirements:
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent
- Actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, master's, or PhD on a full-time basis at a four-year college or university at the time of the internship
- Available for a full-time internship for 12 week
