GCyber is seeking a CyberSecure Protected Distribution System (PDS) Administrator to support a mission critical DoD environment in Hampton Roads, Virginia. This position ensures that PDS components adhere to stringent cybersecurity standards, providing reliable and secure information transfer for classified data across the network infrastructure. The PDS Administrator will perform regular testing, troubleshooting, and documentation of the PDS while collaborating with government and contractor personnel to maintain CNSSI No. 7003 compliance.
*Due to the classification and nature of the work performed, this position will be full-time at the Government location.
As the CyberSecure PDS Administrator, your responsibilities include:
- PDS Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Conduct weekly tests of the PDS in accordance with CNSSI No. 7003 standards, ensuring all protective measures are operational and effectively monitored.
- Oversee and manage configurations, upgrades, and adjustments to PDS devices as necessary, enhancing the security and functionality of the protected network paths.
- Alert Analysis and Troubleshooting:
- Perform real-time analysis of PDS alerts and resolve issues as they arise. Provide technical support for device configurations, modes, and settings related to the PDS.
- Incident Response:
- Respond to and resolve incidents involving PDS security alerts promptly, coordinating with other security personnel to mitigate any potential risks to network security.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification or higher (https://public.cyber.mil/cw/cwmp/dod-approved-8570-baseline-certifications)
- 5+ years in network administration and/or monitoring in a DoD environment
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining the Cybersecure Infrastructure Monitoring PDS solution.
