As the Cyberbehavior Program Manager, you will lead behavior and change management initiatives that promote a cybersecurity-aware culture across Smithfield Foods. You will be responsible for supporting the development, communication, and implementation of programs that align with the organization’s cybersecurity strategic plan. In this role, you’ll partner closely with the CISO, cybersecurity leadership, and the PMO to ensure cybersecurity initiatives are effectively branded, documented, and executed. From content creation and technical writing to internal communications and asset development, you will play a key role in shaping how cybersecurity is understood and embraced across the enterprise.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Develop Cyberbehavior Strategy: Support the design and implementation of a company-wide cyberbehavior program that leverages change management and adult learning to build a security-first mindset.
Lead Communications & Awareness: Create and distribute targeted cybersecurity communications and content to drive awareness, engagement, and behavior change across employee groups.
Engage Key Stakeholders: Partner with Cybersecurity, IT, and business leaders to align human-focused security initiatives with enterprise objectives and risk priorities.
Measure Program Impact: Define and track key performance indicators to assess program success, awareness growth, and effectiveness of behavior change efforts.
Manage Content & Documentation: Maintain internal cybersecurity resources, including intranet sites and learning assets, and ensure organized documentation for audit and compliance.
Support Leadership Initiatives: Collaborate with the CISO and cybersecurity leadership to coordinate projects, support strategic messaging, and execute cybersecurity awareness campaigns.
Drive Cultural Change: Champion initiatives that transform employee behaviors, empowering teams to take ownership of cybersecurity through education and continuous engagement.
Leadership: Drives a positive employee experience through leadership by way of employee coaching.
WHAT WE’RE SEEKING:

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in computer science, information technology, business, information security, or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience in IT, Cyberbehavior, behavior management, technical and/or creative writing, human change management; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
Leadership & Project Expertise: 2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership.
Certifications & Methodologies: CISSP, CISM, or CSAP certifications desired. Understanding and working experience in Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) and its application to modern business and technology.
Global & Technical Fluency: Experience working in a multinational company with complex integrated environments. Adequate knowledge of IT implementations that enable appropriate communication support.
Communication Strength: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, presentation, and written communication skills. Able to explain complex security concepts in clear, layman's terms.
Mindset & Collaboration: Committed to continuous education and promoting cyberbehavior management. Critical thinker with attention to detail and a strong sense of initiative.
Work Ethic: Ability to understand the big picture while executing details flawlessly. Respectful, approachable, and team-oriented in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Individual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, location of the position, the candidate’s qualifications and experience, internal equity, external market pay for comparable positions and budget considerations.
