Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cyber Systems Analyst to contribute to our research and development (R&D) efforts in offensive computer network vulnerability exploitation. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in researching and developing novel methodologies for exploiting vulnerabilities in target systems, with a specific focus on understanding and demonstrating how cyberattacks can impact and degrade critical infrastructure within a facility. This includes analyzing Building Automation Systems (BAS) and other interconnected systems to identify potential attack vectors and simulate the consequences of cyber-attacks.

In this role you will:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities, with a focus on critical infrastructure systems.
- Develop and implement advanced cyberattack simulations and penetration testing methodologies.
- Analyze the impact of cyberattacks on interconnected systems within a facility, including BAS, HVAC, electrical grids, and other critical infrastructure components.
- Develop and document detailed threat assessments and vulnerability reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop and document repeatable methodologies for simulating the exploit of potential vulnerabilities, given imperfect knowledge of target systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cybersecurity technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of an innovative orchestration application that integrate cyber simulation tools with other system simulation software tools, using a common data layer.
Required Security Clearance:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
Required Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field and 8+ years of prior relevant experience, with 3+ years of the applicable experience being in cybersecurity roles, including penetration testing, threat intelligence analysis, or incident response.
- Additional years of experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and common cybersecurity tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Active Security+ or equivalent certification.
Desired Experience, Skills, and Education:
- Experience collaborating with DTRA, DIA, or other IC agencies’ Chief Information Officer (CIO) departments.
- Experience contributing to DTRA or DIA interim authority to test (IATT) or authority to operate (ATO) processes.
- Master’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Experience with industrial control systems (ICS) and SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and their vulnerabilities.
- Experience with red teaming and advanced penetration testing techniques.
- Experience with network traffic analysis and intrusion detection systems.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), SANS - GXPN – Exploit Researcher and Advanced Penetration Tester, OSEE (Exploitation Expert) · CCSP – Certified Cloud Security Professional, etc.).

Pay Range:Pay Range $104,650.00 - $189,175.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
