Position Summary:
Provides expert-level Python programming and automation skills, along with a strong development background. This individual can quickly learn existing processes and interpret business and functional requirements to enhance and/or build process automation tool suites. This individual will be working with business and technology teams to implement quality, continuous monitoring solutions. They will participate in the collaborative design of new automated programs as well as the refinement of existing automation. The focus of the work is to continue to enhance the automation capabilities of the Controls Monitoring & Assurance Solutions (CMAS) team. This is a hands-on position with visibility to the highest levels of Evernorth management who are driven to see our efforts succeed. The solution focuses on enabling this change using the latest technologies and development techniques.
Experience Required:
· 5 - 8 years of professional software development experience using object-oriented programming in Python.
· Strong experience with other programming languages (PowerShell, VBA, C#)
· Strong experience with relational database languages and tools (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio)
· Demonstrated ability to automate manual processes and develop automated solutions.
· Proven ability to work with large data sets.
· Familiarity with agile methodology including SCRUM team leadership.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
· Ability to translate technical details into simple, user-friendly language.
· Ability to work in a team environment, sharing workloads and responsibilities.
· Experience working with cross-functional departments to research and resolve issues using innovative solutions.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
· Develop and automate security-based monitoring controls using Python.
· Develop and maintain ETL processes.
· Perform code review and make recommendations for optimizing code performance.
· Meet with business partners to interpret and review automation requirements.
· Provide leadership, vision, and architectural/design direction for the team.
· Direct the team in troubleshooting and problem resolution.
· Ensure engineering solutions align with the Technology strategy and that they support the application’s requirements.
· Identify and drive process improvement opportunities.

Education and Training Required:
· College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
