Cyber Security Lead Analyst - HIH - Evernorth

Position Summary: 

Provides expert-level experience designing and developing web-based applications with a focus on user experience.  This individual can quickly learn existing processes and software and is able to easily interpret business and functional requirements.  This individual will be working on the web application hosted by the Controls Monitoring & Assurance Solutions (CMAS) team which manages each of the automated control monitors and displays results from the corresponding database.  They will work with business and technology teams to develop innovative, attractive, and easy-to-use solutions for our internal customers.  They will participate in the collaborative design and refinement of applications and will lead all aspects of the web development cycle, including implementation, documentation, testing, deployment, and support.  The focus of the work is to continue to enhance the capabilities and user experience of the CAM Platform.  This is a hands-on position with visibility to the highest levels of Evernorth management who are driven to see our efforts succeed. The solution focuses on enabling this change through the use of the latest technologies and development techniques. 

Experience Required: 

• 5-8 years of professional web application development experience.

• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Python with strong experience in other programming languages (PowerShell, VBA, C#).

• Experience with one or more front-end JavaScript libraries, including but not limited to jQuery, Angular JS, or React JS.

• Understanding of issues and solutions for cross-browser compatibility including AJAX, the DOM, JSON, and OOP JavaScript.

• Strong experience with relational database languages and tools (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio)

• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills

• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to translate technical details into simple, user-friendly language.

• Ability to work in a team environment, sharing workloads and responsibilities.

• Experience working with cross-functional departments to research and resolve issues using innovative solutions.

Job Description & Responsibilities: 

• Follow best practices for the full web development lifecycle, including adhering to coding standards, setting up and maintaining builds for continuous integration, and designing and coding framework components.

• Develop visually interesting and intuitive user interfaces and navigation menus using responsive design methodology.

• Work closely with team and stakeholders to review requirements and implement new systems, features, and tools.

• Solve complex problems and identify opportunities for technical improvement and performance optimization.

• Perform code review to ensure appropriate standards are met.

• Provide technical support and guidance to customers and the team as needed.

• Mentor other developers, actively cultivating their web design skills.

• Complete accountability for the technology assets owned by the team.

Education and Training Required: 

• College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience. 

• GIAC Certified Web Application Defender (GWEB) certification
