As a Cyber Security Consultant you will support the delivery of security initiatives that enhance both technical defences and human resilience. Leveraging your experience and subject matter expertise, you’ll contribute to the identification and mitigation of cyber risks, while conducting (risk) assessments, also designing and delivering impactful security improvements programmes that will increase the security posture of our clients
You will take ownership of smaller client engagements or defined workstreams within larger projects, applying sound judgment, strong communication skills, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in risk assessments and security audits, providing remedies and preventive measures
- Develop and execute security assessments for clients
- Develop and execute security and awareness projects for clients
- Participate in crisis readiness exercises
- Deliver client engagements as part of a team
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security practices into the business processes
- Creating reports or presentations for clients
- Draft security policies, guidelines, and control frameworks in alignment with regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Preferred/mandatory (Technical) Skills
- Basic understanding of security protocols, authentication, authorization, and security vulnerabilities
- Skills to develop and providing trainings and/or crisis exercises
- Capability in executing security assessments and vulnerability analyses
- Project management skills for small projects
- Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, NIS2, DORA) and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA)
- Debrief and report presentations experience for external clients.
- Proficient in Dutch (speak and write)
Personal Skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience in liaising with internal and external facing stakeholders, at various levels of an organization
- Collaborative and teamwork oriented within multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent time management and ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
Desirable skills Experience and/or Certifications
- Proficient in at least two security areas including network security, application security, endpoint security, and cloud security
- Basic ability to script or program in languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for purposes like automation and tool development
- CISM, CISSP

- CISM or CISSP certification
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication and stakeholder liaison experience
- Collaborative, teamwork-oriented with good time management
