The Cyber Defense Analyst - II position is responsible for building efficiencies by designing
content and developing automations to enhance the capabilities of the Cyber Defense Team..
Principal Accountabilities:
● Produce well commented code and clearly articulated documentation
● Build, automate, and operate security applications
● Develop and modify intercommunications between applications, systems, and data to add value
to the CDT
● Identify, propose and initiate improvements to the organization's security posture
● Contribute towards the continual-improvement of our Security, Orchestration, Automation, and
Response processes and documentation
● Recommend, help implement, and test improved threat response capabilities
Skills and Software Requirements:
● Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
● Ability to identify and troubleshoot new problems as they arise
● High level critical thinking skills
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
● Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
● Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with multiple goals
● Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
● Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
1 to 2 years of automation/scripting experience using Python (Intermediate Level)
1-3 Years of experience in a L1/Related Cyber Security Experience.
Experience with GIT or a related version control system or workflow
Playbook development experience is a plus
HTML and JavaScript experience is a plus
