Role Description and Accountabilities:
Main activities include:
- Strategic Demand: Consolidate long term demand signals from marketing, sales, and customer support teams. Assess demand, market requirements, market/application specific needs, and overall market trends (industry TAM, capacity investments, equipment investments, etc.) to rationalize the demand jointly the commercial organization. Provide feedback on demand shaping that utilizes installed capacity.
- Demand & Supply Planning: Consolidate demand signals from commercial team. Run weekly demand-supply solves for a period of 0-9 months and up to 2 years (S&OE and S&OP cycles). Work closely with factories to manage capacity, allocation of capacity, maximizing output, and delivering to our customer commitments. Demand and Capacity resolved for highest immediate gross margin with minimum capital deployment.
- Capacity & Capex: Synchronize quarterly demand plan and capacity plan with S&OE and S&OP teams for week-by-week capacity allocation. Minimum viable and clean sheet approach for integrated capital deployment plan and triggers for capital decisions with focus on ROIC (Return on Invested Capital). Maximize asset utilization and balance under – over capacity challenges. Factory loading shared weekly with corporate planning. Customer requirements, cycle time, factory performance inputs to Corp Planning. TD team provides critical planning parameters (equipment requirements, tech product roadmap timeline, etc.). Factory IE team provides planning inputs (tool/factory capacity, availability, cost). Build bottom-up operational cost plan and initiatives to deliver cost targets. This team is also responsible for collecting demand inputs, market intelligence, and internal constraints to decide on space and capital investments.
- Business Process & Systems: Drive systems and business process efficiency through a centralized team to improve solution and velocity of business processes.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Minimum qualifications
- 15+ years of industry experience in manufacturing, planning or related field.
- An advanced degree in a relevant discipline is required.
- Prior experience at senior level leading operational planning for foundry (similar role within IDM or Fabless may be alternative)
- Demonstrated experience in leading foundry S&OP process, and development of E2E Supply Chain Strategy
- Strong understanding of the semiconductor market, processes and products.
- Credibility with operational peers (ops, technology, finance): extensive experience in complex supply chain and in managing large teams with geographically and culturally diverse setup
- Proven experience as integrative leader: evidence as capability to serve as the ‘chair’ for development and review of the integrated plan
- Executive-level communication skills (e.g., effectively delivering messages) and effective decision-making and conflict resolution
