Requirements:
- Two years’ experience required.
- Flu Vaccine Required - No Exemptions
- Certificates Required: ACLS*, BLS, NBSTSA, NBSTSA
- Certification with NBSTSA or NCCT certification accepted if ST was employed as a ST in S.C. prior to January 1, 2008, or completed a ST military training program. (Lawson Code NCST)
- Education - Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or Surgical Technologist training in the U.S. Armed Forces.
- Any Charting System Experience preferred
- Trauma Level I Experience preferred
- Cardiovascular Skills: Angioplasty/stenting, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Professional Knowledge and Skills: Aseptic Technique, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, Universal Protocol (Time out) Procedure
- Additional Skills: Scrub and Circulate
- On Call Required
Schedule:
Shift: 4x10 Shift Days (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
On Call:
- Vascular - If fully staffed it is 7 to 10 days on call the weekend is included in that number. The weekend call is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday..
- Hearts - It is 10 to 15 days on call and 2 weekends which consists of Friday Saturday and Sunday.
Skills Required
- Minimum two years' experience
- Flu vaccine (no exemptions)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBSTSA (NBSTSA or NCCT accepted under specified conditions)
- Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program or U.S. Armed Forces surgical technologist training
