The Central Verification Organization Coordinator manages the primary source verification activities using all available resources to assure compliance with regulatory standards, Franciscan Alliance credentialing policies and practices, and medical staff bylaws. This position, also, as liaison between applicants/re-applicants, the entity Medical Staff Professionals, and Franciscan Medical Staff Leadership, to ensure that only qualified and fully credentialled physicians and allied health practitioners provide patient care.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
- Send appropriate electronic application(s) and supplemental documents to physicians and allied health providers, requesting membership and/or privileges at any of our Franciscan Health hospitals.
- Timely and accurate completion of the primary source verification process for initial appointment and reappointment.
- Ensure an accurate database for all practitioners associated with Franciscan Health and for hospital wide downstream systems.
- Manage all aspects of the primary source verification functions for initial appointment and reappointment, by utilizing a comprehensive and technologically driven verification and data management process.
- Ensure evidence of criteria-based education and experience is reflective of the current services, being sought at each Franciscan entity by conducting a full evaluation of the application, to ensure primary source data elements represent a complete file, and that each provider meets qualification for seeking an affiliation with the facility.
- Electronically files documents, in accordance with established filing systems, in a timely manner.
- Protects permanent records by managing a secure record retention process to safeguard any breach of confidentiality.
- Manages effective communication with each hospital Medical Staff Professional and Franciscan Health facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years Hospital Credentialing Required
- Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) - National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS)- Preferred
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) - National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS)- Preferred
