Job Description:
The Cardiovascular (CV) Revenue Processor (RP) is responsible for all revenue related duties involving CPT, ICD-10 CM, HCPCS coding, charge entry, and auditing for CV-related technical and professional services with application of CV service line charge tables. This position is also responsible to alert Internal Process Control (IPC) Coordinators of any revenue integrity, coding, charge entry, billing, and documentation concerns for the focus area the RP is assigned.Essential Functions
- Maintains subject matter expertise in physician and/or facility code sets, charge entry, reimbursement, pre and post billing edit reconciliation, and provider education.
- Maintains current knowledge of local, State, and Federal coding rules and regulations as they pertain to cardiovascular services including the correct use of CPT and HCPCS code sets and coverage determinations.
- Supports all revenue cycle departmental functions and processes to include collaboration with Revenue Cycle Operations.

Physical Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- AAPC CPC® or equivalent national professional coding certification or demonstrated expertise in CV coding.
- Functional knowledge of general medical terminology, medical acronyms, anatomy, and physiology.
- If working remote must have environment conducive to productivity and minimal interruption.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Intermountain clinical and revenue cycle applications.
- AAPC CPC® or equivalent national professional coding certification (CPC, CPC-H, or CCS).
Physical Requirements
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.
- Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients/clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use for typing, accessing needed information, etc.
- For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
