Job Summary:
The Customer Training Consultant is responsible for leading strategic training initiatives within hospital systems for WaveMark. This role involves partnering with hospital leadership to develop and execute enterprise-wide training strategies, delivering both onsite and virtual training sessions, and ensuring a seamless transition to customer success teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare training, strategic planning, and adult learning methodologies.
Location: This position is remote. Candidates must be based within the United States and have ability to travel to healthcare sites across the country.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Leadership Engagement
- Facilitate strategy sessions with hospital leadership to assess training needs and align with organizational goals.
- Develop and present comprehensive enterprise strategic training plans tailored to each healthcare organization.
- Provide expert guidance on training best practices, change management, and implementation strategies.
Training Execution & Delivery
- Deliver Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs onsite, equipping internal trainers with tools and techniques to deliver effective training.
- Conduct and manage virtual training programs and sessions using application platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams).
- Ensure training content meets the specific needs and supports the solution workflows within the hospital.
- Develop training content and user guides
Implementation & Handoff
- Oversee and plan the training process from initial planning through department-level kickoff and go-live.
- Ensure smooth handoff to Customer Success teams with clear documentation and transition plans.
- Monitor training effectiveness and provide post-professional training services as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience preferred. Related degrees could be in Education, Healthcare Administration, or Organizational Development.
- Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., CPTD, ATD, Kirkpatrick) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in training, consulting, change management, organizational transformation or organizational development within healthcare preferred.
- Experience with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) or healthcare IT solutions preferred.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design preferred.
- Proficiency in virtual training tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare operations, compliance, and clinical workflows preferred.
- Strategic thinker with a consultative approach preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills preferred.
