The Customer Support Representative at Neogen plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our customers by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth order processing. We are seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve as a trusted first point of contact for customer inquiries across phone, email, and chat. In this role, you will support customers with routine questions, maintain accurate account information, coordinate submissions and orders, and help ensure a professional, responsive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, providing clear, professional, and customer-focused support.
  • Answer routine questions related to order status, sample submissions, results inquiries, invoices, and other basic service needs.
  • Route customer submissions, manage sample orders, and update account information accurately in Salesforce and internal systems.
  • Troubleshoot minor customer issues and escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate team members when needed.
  • Support administrative and in-office tasks, including Mystery Orders, Accessioning Issues, and paperwork quality control.
  • Manage multiple customer service tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and service quality.

Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in a customer service, administrative, or office environment strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required; experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to resolve routine customer inquiries accurately, efficiently, and with a customer-centric approach.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
