Our services organization maximizes the value of our customers' KLA assets – with highly trained service and product support engineers providing installation services and 24/7 technical support and parts delivery through our extensive supply chain network.What You'll Do

Location: Austin, Texas
KLA is seeking a Customer Support Engineer (CSE) to support our advanced Surfscan inspection systems at leading semiconductor manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will be a trusted technical expert, helping customers maximize equipment performance, improve productivity, and minimize downtime. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, solving complex technical challenges, and working directly with customers, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.
Military veterans and transitioning service members with strong technical, mechanical, electronics, avionics, nuclear, radar, communications, or equipment maintenance experience are highly encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do:
As a Customer Support Engineer, you will:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain highly sophisticated semiconductor equipment at customer sites.
- Perform board-level and system-level troubleshooting on advanced capital equipment.
- Partner with customers to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to installation and service teams.
- Document service activities and collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- Prepare service reports and assist with customer quotations for labor, travel, and replacement parts.
- Help drive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the service organization.
- Work independently while collaborating closely with customers, peers, and management.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Military Technical Training, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or semiconductor equipment.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing complex systems and equipment.
- Ability to work independently in dynamic customer environments.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work in semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom environments.
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.

Total Rewards
