Customer Support Engineer

Job Description

About the Role:

Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customers’ needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers. This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.

Work Location: Onsite – Zhubei City, Hsinchu County, Taiwan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex customer support activities involving the installation, modification, repair and preventive maintenance of Brooks equipment and systems to ensure proper working order.
  • Isolates and resolves complex equipment malfunctions and implements corrective action.
  • Works under minimal supervision following established policies and procedures to ensure company and customer quality standards are met.
  • May act as Local/Shift/Site CSE to coordinate work direction for other Service Engineers and install support as needed.
  • Position will be in Taiwan region. Candidate may be assigned to support a specific customer site or Product, depending upon business needs.
  • Required to work in a Clean Room environment wearing a full clean room suit according to customer requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master’s degree in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Electronic Engineering
    • Other related Engineering disciplines
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Intermediate English proficiency, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Requires systematic troubleshooting skills utilizing a structured and comprehensive process to determine the root cause of an outage, with the ability to handle problems independently and implement corrective action.
  • Must be available and willing to travel, domestically and internationally as needed and be available for specific emergency on-call work. Depending upon business needs, travel can vary greatly to as high as 60% of the time.

Must be proficient with use of a PC, Windows based Operating Systems. Be able to use the company’s standard software to generate reports, presentations and document the daily activities as defined and expected by your manager.

Salary Ranges

NT$942,999.64 TWD to NT$1,275,823.04 TWD
