The Role

Company Description

We’re looking for a English-speaking Customer Support Associate to join our team in Budapest. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wise’s mission in helping our customers have a great experience when using Wise.

Your mission: 

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hard-earned money with the world’s first platform to offer true multi-currency banking. Your mission is to help customers have the best experience possible with our product working across email, phone and chat.

Job Description

Here’s how you’ll be contributing to the Customer Support team:

  • Help customers have the best experience possible with our product by showing empathy and patience and being resilient when needed

  • Support customers by communicating with them via emails, phone calls, and chats

  • Demonstrate flexibility! You’ll be covering a variety of shifts - we work when our customers need us the most including early mornings, day times, afternoons, late evenings, weekends and public holidays as per business demand. PS! We make our schedules in advance so you’ll be able to plan your time accordingly

  • Go above and beyond the call of duty: solve problems working together with other teams.

  • Grow through mentoring and working with other teams, developing your skills and figuring out how to have an impact on our customers

Qualifications

Please note that candidates that are able to work on weekends will be prioritised.

  • Must be legally authorised to work in Hungary - please note that we are not able to sponsor work permit/visa for this role.

  • You are willing to work from the office (please note that during your probation period (3 months), you’ll need to work in our office for 5 days a week).

  • Your verbal and written English skills are excellent, communicating difficult concepts in an easy to understand way comes naturally to you (C1 level English).

  • You’re flexible and adaptable, open to working days, evenings and weekend shifts as well as public holidays

  • You’re cool under pressure taking charge in challenging situations and keeping your composure if things get tense

  • You’re able to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment - you understand that change is needed to both grow and learn but also work more efficiently

  • You’re a team-player and understand that having a great working culture is everyone’s responsibility. You treat everyone with respect and always give a helping hand, and you let our values guide you
