The Role
Job Summary:
Staff Application Engineer based in Japan assigned to support PC-OEM & IoT based customers with the integration of Semtech Sierra modules, routers, connectivity, and cloud offerings.
Support customers on any design and WWAN integration questions/issues
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and give trainings to distribution partners (10%)
- Responsible for supporting IoT customers’ issues (50%)
- oftware integration support on various operating systems (Windows/Linux/Android) and different HW platforms
- Field issues and certification issues
- Ensure local interface with PC OEM customers, Semtech overseas development teams, customer project manager regarding customer support tasks (40%)
- Required to report customer project information to team regularly.
