The Role

TealBook is looking for a Customer Supplier Specialist who can ensure positive and meaningful experiences for our customers' suppliers interacting with our Supplier Intelligence Platform. You will play a critical role in helping suppliers achieve their goals through leveraging TealBook data and technology, and use your strong customer-facing experience to work collaboratively with suppliers and ultimately create champions of the TealBook product and brand. You are a self-starter with strong relationship management, project management, and organizational skills, and you are willing to dive into the issues of the day and get the job done in a fast-paced and fluid startup environment. You have experience building and maintaining successful relationships. A quick learner and a strategic thinker, you have an aptitude for identifying areas for improvement and quickly closing those gaps. You are passionate about people and a creative, empathetic problem solver.


As a member of the Customer Experience Team, the Customer Supplier Specialist will work closely with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to ensure a seamless and integrated experience for our customers. This role involves collaborating with CSMs to understand customer goals, strategize on supplier engagement, and deliver comprehensive solutions.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Manage a portfolio from end-to-end on all supplier services offerings, including Tier 2 Diversity, EIA and Managed Supplier Outreach Programs for allocated TealBook customers.
  • Engage with customers to understand their goals for the program, delivering demos to potential customers explaining the offerings and value proposition to help TealBook customers.
  • Analyze customers' suppliers to identify target suppliers
  • Maintain communication materials and advise customers on best practices and trends in their industries
  • Execute group training webinars and one-to-one assistance calls to drive participation in our Tier 2 Program
  • Execute all supplier communications and assist suppliers to comply with their customers’ requests
  • Create reporting on program results, and present these results to customers and C-level executives across customer organizations and internally
  • Consistently identify areas of improvement to add value to our supplier services programs
  • Be the supplier Champion and voice of the supplier within TealBook

What Are We Looking For?

  • 3+ years experience within the Procurement or Supply Chain function, preferably having worked in Diversity Reporting, with some knowledge of Tier 2 Diversity Spend collection practices
  • Technical Skills:  

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to quickly pick up the use of new tools such as the TealBook app, and other Cloud products
  • Able to manage Tier 2 projects in Project Management tools such as ChurnZero and Salesforce
  • Soft Skills: 

  • Strategic thinker with an aptitude to map out a project plan based on key customer goals 
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally with internal teams
  • Ability to present to group and C-level executives
  • Nice to Haves: 

  • Experience with Supplier Outreach and Onboarding
  • Experience with Supplier Diversity, specifically the Tier 2 process
  • Attitude:

  • Persistent, tenacious, results-driven, comfortable communicator, subject matter expert
