Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is performed by technical professionals who specialize in providing services to clients in remote technical support of specific Storage software solutions. Ability to work in a fast-paced customer support environment.
Ability to work both individually and as part of a highly motivated WW Support team to assist IBM customers to perform problem determination/problem source identification on the IBM System Storage DS8000 series.
Debugging and analysis are performed via the telephone as well as electronically.
Strong customer interaction skills and be able to clearly articulate solutions and options.
Must be familiar with and able to interpret complex hardware problems that span across multiple client and server platforms.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with Storage solution (DS8K, Flash Copy, CSM)
  • Experience with the following server platforms including z/OS, UNIX, Linux, AIX.
  • Experience with storage area networks (SAN), network protocols.
  • Strong customer skills
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
  • Schedule flexibility to cover rotating/off shift work
  • Second shift and weekend scheduling may be required
  • English Fluent


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Focus on storage area networks (SAN), network protocols, Cloud, and storage devices
  • Hands-on experience with storage virtualization
  • Multilingual capabilities
  • Spanish Speaking capabilities
