The EAP Management Consultation Care Navigator is a unique and exciting opportunity within Spring Health to provide member-facing support and high quality consultations regarding worksite issues to account human resource representatives, management, and employees. This role will report to the Spring Health Sr. Clinical Manager and will work PST hours to help cover our members located on the West Coast!
What you’ll be doing:
- Member Facing Functions:
- Provide consultation, psycho-education, and motivational assistance to address mental health, substance use, and family/relationship concerns to the covered membership of the dedicated customer.
- Assess for risk and manage member crises by providing in-the-moment support, triage, safety planning, and follow up.
- Conduct a clinical needs assessment to develop a plan of action for each member and refer to an appropriate level and modality of care (internal therapy or physician providers, external benefits, or community resources).
- Identify and problem-solve issues that serve as a barrier or disruption to care, with support from leadership.
- Implement measurement-based case management practices to improve member functioning and outcomes by monitoring treatment progress and promoting collaborative, effective care through our providers.
- Interact with multi-disciplinary teams such as care support, customer success, provider operations, and benefits/billing to ensure a smooth member experience.
- Complete required internal training and assignments and attend team meetings.
- Follow Spring Health policies and maintain all confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert on the key customer including the customer’s benefits ecosystem and programs to provide appropriate referrals to members and to support the navigation team supporting the customer.
- Management Consultation Functions:
- Deliver solution focused consultation; helping clients define goals, plan action and gain insight.
- Complete management referral intakes according to established guidelines; assure appropriate placement of management referred employees; provide guidance regarding EAP protocols to counselors working with employees.
- Provide follow-up to monitor employee compliance and feedback to supervisors, HR/Managers.
- Confirm that necessary paperwork is in place to both providers, HR/Managers including signed releases in order to coordinate follow-up with treatment providers, and other necessary HR/Managers.
- Focus on enhancing employee wellbeing and workplace effectiveness to help to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Provide limited after care monitoring (following up with employees and/or providers to ensure the safety of employees and continuation of treatment).
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of required information that meets risk management and regulatory requirements.
What we expect from you:
- LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist with minimum of 3 years experience (independent licensure required).
- Supervisory experience and/or experience working with management and human resource professionals preferred.
- Crisis management and SUD experience.
- Familiarity with basic terminology and concepts used in employee assistance/human services programs.
- EAP experience (CEAP preferred).
- Experience working with diverse populations (bilingual preferred).
- Knowledge of healthcare settings and community resources.
- Tech and computer savvy: very comfortable adopting new technologies and platforms. and efficient in tech-related tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to go above and beyond and to multi-task and context switch!
- Ability to work the hours required in the PST
