Community Relations Manager
MANAGER, COMMUNITY RELATIONS
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This position will be responsible for managing the Bank's community investment, community involvement and volunteer programs across the entire footprint. Responsibilities include setting the strategy for the bank's community engagement model in collaboration with executive management with the goal of maximizing the benefits and exposure for the Bank for corporate contributions and community involvement. This individual will represent the bank publicly at community events, at times in speaking roles. This role is responsible for overseeing a budget in excess of $12 million annually, establishing processes and metrics to track, monitor and report impact. In collaboration with the Community team, this individual will establish and promote a comprehensive community involvement program among colleagues (e.g., internal programs, volunteerism, recognition and workplace giving program), enhance and expand internal and external community partner relationships, and establish qualifying standards, guidelines and processes to oversee company donations.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Identifies, develops and implements strategic community partnerships and involvement opportunities for the Bank. Maximizes benefit and exposure for the Bank for community investments, including charitable and affiliation corporate contributions.
- Tracks and monitors success factors associated with community investments through the charitable and affiliations database. Manages reporting (budget and impact), benefits fulfillment and compliance with Company policies regarding community investments.
- Manages development and implementation of community involvement programs and events throughout the Bank, including annual workplace giving campaign, promoting volunteerism at all levels of the organization, volunteer recognition program and managing volunteer database.
- Monitors and leads community board engagement for the Executive Team at CNB.
- Enhances and expands awareness and participation in internal community programs (e.g., the annual workplace giving campaign, Reading is The Way Up, Dollars for Doers, and matching gifts program).
- Represent the bank at community events
- Tracks and monitors success factors associated with community involvement
- Maintains a proactive commitment to established bank programs, such as Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and Affirmative Action, and actively supporting DEI initiatives.
- Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
- Understands and adheres to all regulatory, compliance and risk requirements.
- Completes all special projects as requested.
- Responsible and accountable for appropriate quality controls related to the financial products the bank provides, the services the bank delivers, the processes employed and the incentives with which colleagues are awarded.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in community engagement role.
- Minimum of 5 years in management in a corporate or foundation environment.
Skills and Knowledge
- An undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or related field is preferable.
- Excellent project management, analytical and written communication skills are required.
- This professional must possess an interpersonal style that enables her or him to interface and effectively partner with peers and senior executives in the execution of job responsibilities.
- Proficient and comfortable in public speaking role
- Experience with community software platform (Blackbaud/Gifts preferred)
- Fluent in Spanish preferable.
Compensation
Starting base salary: $111,408 - $189,738 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
