Position
The Client Service Advisor (CSA) resides within AB's Institutional Investments division. This role partners with sales, the Associate and senior leadership to service large Companies and support prospecting for new business. The CSA is primarily a servicing manager for our clients located in Nashville. To be successful across all aspects of the role, the CSA must collaborate with teams across the firm-Operations, Investments, Legal & Compliance-and relentlessly identify and promote the needs of AB's clients. The Client Service Advisor reports directly to the Global Head of Client Service with a dotted line to the Head of Institutional Sales.
Description
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day servicing of these critical relationships, RFPs, from account openings, partnering Legal on agreements and account maintenance
- Understand and document all aspects of the relationship including all touch points (e.g., reporting, billing, presentations, phone calls), issues, and clients' familiarity with AB
- Establish and maintain details of research on potential new business opportunities and assist in building an opportunity pipeline
- Work with Sales & Sales Leadership on client plans, business-at-risk or other client reports/info
- With minimal direction, lead & drive client matters with internal & external stakeholders, through to fruition
- Arrange and host periodic portfolio updates to Canadian based clients, working closely with AB investment professionals as needed
- Propose solutions to the needs of the plan and pursue new business opportunities through cross-sale activities
- Proactively maintain a strong working knowledge of AB products and investment processes
- Field and respond to all regular and ad-hoc client queries
- Oversee client and prospect Presentations, Questionnaires, & RFPs
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Marketing, and an excellent academic record
- At least five years of client/sales experience in the financial services industry
- Track record of outstanding performance and achievement
- A belief that client is first and the ability to influence and lead others to prioritize in that way
- Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Exemplary relationship building skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record in meeting deadlines and keen ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Analytical mindset and strong problem solving abilities
- Fluent in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Salesforce.com a plus
