Client Relationship Management - Senior Coordinator
This analyst provides risk management by supporting corporate insurance programs, to include implementing corporate insurance strategy within risk management frameworks, placement of insurance policies with commercial insurance markets, claims management, cross functional collaboration with stakeholders, corporate insurance program administration, complying with corporate insurance related standards by regulatory agencies, and minimizing loss to protect the assets of USAA.
• Partners with key stakeholders in the business to identify, assess, aggregate and document risks and controls, including financial risk transfer objectives via commercial insurance policies.
• Assists in the development of corporate insurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriateness and adequacy as compared to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Supports processes that focus on enhancing strategies, tools, and methodologies to assess, quantify, monitor, and manage risks.
• Partners with cross functional teams to provide corporate insurance subject matter expertise for the enterprise to support line of business, processes and product initiatives.
• Prepares key reports and communications and may present to governance committees, senior leaders, and the USAA Board of Directors.
Minimum Experience
- 2 years of risk management, regulatory or operations experience in a relevant functional area to include banking, insurance, financial services, audit, project management, public accounting or other related operational area.
- Or advanced degree/designation in Risk Management, Business, Finance, or other discipline relevant to risk management.
- Knowledge of risk management principles, tools and applicable systems.
- Risk management experience related to banking, insurance and/or financial services. Ability to work with internal and external partners in a collaborative environment.
- Working knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with commercial insurance (risk management, broker, underwriter)
- Conceptually comfortable with business law topics (indemnification and liability)
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM) or similar professional designation
