GovDeals is transforming how government and public-sector organizations sell surplus and seized assets—and we’re looking for a driven, relationship-focused Client Success Specialist II to help power that mission. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted partner to government clients, inventorying, photographing and uploading of surplus government assets via the successful use of our leading online auction platform while assisting government agencies to maximize value, efficiency, and results.
As a key member of our client-facing team, you’ll assist in processing an assigned portfolio of government accounts, delivering hands-on processing, ongoing support, and strategic guidance both remotely and onsite. You’ll collaborate closely with sales and client service leaders to expand client utilization, protect existing relationships, and identify opportunities to re-engage inactive accounts. With significant travel and direct client interaction, this role is ideal for a self-starter who enjoys being in the field, building long-term partnerships, and making a measurable impact.
Responsibilities- Serve as the secondary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of government and public-sector clients, delivering exceptional service, strategic guidance, and ongoing support to ensure long-term success and retention.
- Provide comprehensive asset processing onsite to ensure clients are confident and effectively using the GovDeals auction marketplace.
- Drive increased client utilization and performance through scheduled outreach, and consultative recommendations that help clients maximize auction outcomes and revenue.
- Collaborate closely with Territory Sales Representatives to support new client acquisition, strengthen existing relationships, and proactively defend accounts against competitive threats.
- Deliver hands-on, in-field client support, including asset cataloging, gathering detailed descriptions, and photographing items across a variety of indoor and outdoor environments and weather conditions.
- Monitor and review client auction listings to ensure high-quality asset presentation, compliance with best practices, and adherence to sound auction standards that protect both client interests and the GovDeals brand.
- dentify inactive or underutilized accounts and partner with leadership to develop and execute targeted re-engagement strategies that renew client participation and drive incremental growth.
- Present to prospective clients as needed, clearly articulating the value of the GovDeals platform and demonstrating how it supports transparency, efficiency, and revenue generation for public agencies.
- Act as a professional ambassador for GovDeals, consistently demonstrating integrity, responsiveness, and expertise when interacting with government entities and the public sector.

Education/ Experience:
- Associate’s degree preferred. Prior coursework or experience related to business, public administration, sales, or customer service is a plus
- 1 + years of hands-on experience in field based, operational, customer service, or support role preferred.
- Experience in a role requiring frequent travel, working onsite at customer locations, in field services, logistics, inspections, or similar hands-on roles is highly desirable.
- Experience working with government agencies or public-sector organizations is a plus but not required.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document assets, descriptions, and supporting information.
- Comfortable working independently in the field with limited supervision.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Work Conditions/ Physical Demands:
- Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and reliable access to high-speed internet and cellular service for remote and field work.
- This role requires the ability to process and photograph assets and to perform physical tasks such as climbing, stooping, kneeling, and other similar movements as part of essential job functions.
- This position is remote and field-based and requires access to a quiet, distraction-free home office. The role includes consistent travel to client locations to perform onsite services in indoor and outdoor environments, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions and uneven terrain.
Location:
- The ideal candidate would reside in New York City, as they will be dedicated to field cataloging serving all 5 boroughs.
Travel:
- Extensive travel is required and may include frequent overnight stays and extended periods away from the primary work location (50% or more).
Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
The salary range for this position is $63,400 to $79,200 annually. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
