Position Summary

This position is responsible for managing customer communications, coordinating quotes and cut sheets, processing orders, monitoring production status, and ensuring customer expectations are met. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Service
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding orders, product deviations, delivery schedules, quality concerns, and general inquiries.
- Set up new customers, process sales orders, and enter shop orders into the ERP system.
- Monitor production status and provide customers and internal teams with updates on delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to establish shipment dates and resolve issues.
- Manage customer complaints and coordinate resolution of quality issues and RMAs.
- Maintain customer stocking programs and support customer forecasting requirements.
- Own and maintain the quote process.
- Enter quote requests and prepare quotations in conjunction with Engineering and Operations.
- Follow up on requotes and coordinate new opportunities with the Sales Manager.
- Support the Sales Manager with new account development and lead generation activities.
- Assist with maintaining CRM activity and pipeline tracking.
- Assist with customer compliance requirements to include, but not limited to: IMDS, REACH, RoHS, Customer-specific documentation requests.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Purchasing, Engineering to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and recommend process enhancements.
- Perform additional duties and cross-functional support activities as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or manufacturing support preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of quoting, order entry, and production scheduling processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, ERP systems, and CRM software.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting of up to 20–40 pounds.
Skills Required
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or manufacturing support
- Experience in manufacturing environments
- Understanding of quoting, order entry, and production scheduling processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, ERP systems, and CRM software
