Role overview

The Customer Success Manager for the Government Business Unit (GBU) is responsible for the health, retention, and strategic growth of Sayari’s UK Government partnerships. You will act as the primary adviser for a portfolio of accounts, including a high-impact, multi-million-pound programme focused on global trade integrity and border security.

You will help move our Customer Success model from reactive support to a proactive, technical partnership. You will ensure that UK Government users can apply Sayari’s latest technology to identify forced labour, illicit transhipment, and other global trade risks at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Own renewals: Lead the end-to-end renewal process for a multi-million-pound strategic government programme and 12 additional GBU accounts. Protect continuity, adoption, and customer value.

  • Build proactive account strategies: Move accounts from reactive usage to structured strategic roadmaps. Identify priority workflows where Sayari can support trade, border, and economic security objectives.

  • Provide technical advice: Develop deep expertise in the Sayari Platform and the internal Customer Success technology stack, including Gainsight and Mixpanel. Use data to provide practical guidance to power users and account stakeholders.

  • Work across teams: Partner with Sales, GBU Solutions, and Product to represent customer needs and influence the 2026 GBU product roadmap.

  • Support customer missions: Help customers identify forced labour risks, investigate illicit transhipment, and support the flow of lawful goods through greater trade transparency.

  • Demonstrate value: Translate platform usage, assessed intelligence, and provenance into clear outcomes for customer stakeholders and programme sponsors.

Skills and experienceRequired
  • 3+ years of experience in Customer Success or Account Management supporting UK Government departments, agencies, or large public-sector programmes.

  • Candidates without direct Customer Success or Account Management experience may be considered where they come directly from UK Government, policing, a crime agency, law enforcement, or a related investigative role focused on economic crime, financial crime, trade enforcement, or similar fields.

  • Strong knowledge of trade enforcement, supply chain risk, border security, economic security, or related government missions.

  • Experience managing and renewing large-value government contracts or strategic public-sector accounts.

  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to learn complex data platforms and train others to use them effectively.

  • Current UK Government security clearance, or eligibility to obtain the level required for the role and customer programme.

  • The right to work in the UK. Some customer programmes may also have additional nationality or clearance requirements.

Desirable
  • Experience with Customer Success tools such as Gainsight and Mixpanel.

  • Experience in supply chain mapping, supply chain illumination, or illicit trade analysis.

  • Experience working with SaaS providers serving government customers, or with GovTech, GovCon, or intelligence organisations.

  • Familiarity with UK Government procurement, account governance, or public-sector assurance processes.

Benefits
  • Private medical, dental, and optical cover for employees and eligible dependants, subject to plan terms.

  • Generous annual leave, in addition to UK bank holidays, plus a winter office closure from 24 December to 31 December.

  • Competitive compensation, with commissions for revenue roles and bonuses for non-revenue positions.

  • Workplace pension and group life assurance, subject to plan terms.

  • Parental leave and other benefits in line with company policy.

  • A strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • A collaborative culture and colleagues who are thoughtful, capable, and driven by the work.

  • Opportunities for continued learning and career development.
