Summary Generated by Built In

This is an opportunity to take ownership of some of sees.ai’s most important international customer relationships as we move from successful trials towards large-scale operational use across Europe.

We are about to begin rolling out our service with a major French electricity transmission operator. Successfully introducing a new operational capability into an organisation of this scale requires more than delivering the technology.

The customer needs to understand where the value lies, how the service fits into its wider operation and what successful adoption looks like. Different stakeholders will have different priorities, and the scope of the relationship will continue to develop as both organisations learn more.

Success will also depend on understanding how major French organisations make decisions, procure new services and establish the governance required to adopt them at scale. You will need to work confidently across operational, commercial, procurement and executive stakeholders.

You will become the senior owner of that relationship, while helping sees.ai develop and manage similar relationships with infrastructure operators across Europe.

Working directly with senior customer stakeholders, you will help define the business case for each phase of these relationships, establish how success will be measured and ensure that customers can see the value sees.ai is creating.

You will work alongside our Client Delivery, Operations, Engineering and Commercial teams to turn those customer objectives into something sees.ai can deliver credibly and commercially.

The context

Energy grids worldwide are under enormous pressure from rising demand, ageing infrastructure and the transition to renewable generation. Operators need more frequent, consistent and detailed information about their networks than conventional inspection methods can provide.

sees.ai collects and delivers that information safely and at scale using autonomous UAS.

Today, the data primarily consists of high-resolution imagery, with the capability extending to video, thermal imaging and LiDAR. We develop the entire system in-house: the UAS, ground-control systems, cloud software and field operation itself.

Our work with National Grid in the UK has already progressed from trials into full operational service. France is our first major expansion market beyond the UK and represents the next important stage of our international growth.

This role will help shape and support that rollout, while developing the customer relationships that will underpin sees.ai’s broader expansion across Europe.

What you will do
  • Become sees.ai’s senior relationship owner for key European customers, beginning with a major French electricity transmission operator moving into operational rollout.

  • Work with customers to define the business case, outcomes and measures of success for each stage of the relationship.

  • Navigate customer procurement, governance and decision-making processes to support the move from trial into wider operational adoption.

  • Translate emerging customer needs into clear briefs, working with Client Delivery, Operations and Engineering to ensure that sees.ai’s response is credible and deliverable.

  • Establish and run formal account governance, including executive steering committees, performance reviews, reporting and senior escalation.

  • Lead contract renewal, scope and pricing discussions, working with Commercial, Finance and Legal to agree sustainable terms.

  • Identify and develop opportunities to extend sees.ai’s work across customers’ networks and operations.

  • Manage the transition of relationships from sees.ai’s existing senior stakeholders, then build and lead the Customer Success team required as our European customer base grows.

Essential skills and experience
  • Fluent spoken and written French and English, with the cultural fluency to build trusted relationships and lead executive, commercial and procurement discussions in France.

  • Significant experience owning and growing complex, high-value enterprise customer relationships.

  • Strong experience in at least one of the following:

    • working within French procurement, contracting or supplier-governance processes;

    • managing strategic relationships with major energy or utility companies;

    • consulting to large French energy, infrastructure or public-sector organisations.

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders inside large, complex or highly regulated organisations.

  • Experience navigating complex decision-making processes involving commercial, procurement, operational, technical and executive stakeholders.

  • A track record of developing a business case or commercial brief collaboratively with a customer.

  • The ability to establish where customer value lies and translate it into clear outcomes and measures.

  • Experience managing strategic accounts through a significant transition, such as moving from trial or pilot into wider commercial adoption.

  • Strong commercial judgement, including experience of renewals, scope discussions, pricing or contract negotiations.

  • Experience establishing and running formal customer governance, including steering committees and structured reporting.

  • The ability to work effectively alongside Delivery, Operations, Product and Engineering without blurring ownership or making commitments on their behalf.

  • Confidence managing senior escalations while preserving trust and maintaining clear expectations.

  • Experience building and leading teams.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to France and elsewhere in Europe.

Desirable skills and experience
  • Direct experience working within the French energy or utilities sector.

  • Experience working for, or consulting to, a major French energy company, electricity network operator or national infrastructure organisation.

  • Experience in a growing technology company where roles, processes and customer propositions are still developing.

  • Familiarity with autonomous systems, UAS, data services, inspection technology or other operational technologies.

  • Experience introducing Customer Success governance, reporting or account-management systems from the ground up.
