The Customer Proposals Specialist II develops accurate, compelling responses to RFPs, RFIs, and other procurement requests for EBSCO’s FOLIO Library Services Platform and related SaaS solutions. This role combines professional library experience, knowledge of library systems and workflows, strong research and writing skills, and project management to translate complex customer requirements into clear, customer-focused proposal responses. The ideal candidate understands how libraries operate and can confidently evaluate technical and functional requirements from a librarian’s perspective.

What You'll Do
  • Develop technically accurate, customer-focused responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, proposals, clarifications, and other procurement documents for FOLIO and related EBSCO SaaS solutions
  • Analyze customer requirements to identify response needs, potential gaps, clarification questions, and areas requiring subject matter expert input
  • Research FOLIO capabilities, library workflows, integrations, implementation approaches, and related EBSCO solutions to develop complete and accurate proposal responses
  • Coordinate proposal projects from initial review through submission, including requirements analysis, assignments, timelines, stakeholder follow-up, document preparation, and final quality review
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Implementation, Technical Support, Information Security, Legal, and other subject matter experts to address complex functional and technical requirements
  • Translate technical product information and library systems concepts into clear, concise language focused on customer needs, workflows, and outcomes
  • Maintain reusable FOLIO and library systems content within the RFP response repository by adding new information and updating existing responses as products and capabilities evolve
  • Review proposal content for accuracy, consistency, completeness, compliance, grammar, and overall response quality

Your Team 

You will be welcomed as a member of the EBSCO RFP Team and will work closely with colleagues dedicated to proposals for FOLIO and related library technology solutions, as well as Sales, Product Management, Implementation, and technical subject matter experts across EBSCO. There will be ample resources, tools, training, and support to ensure your success as a Customer Proposals Specialist II and your development and career growth at EIS

About You
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a sales or comparable corporate environment with a proven record of successful communications and/or writing experience
  • 2+ years of professional writing, research, project coordination, proposal development, or comparable experience requiring the interpretation and communication of detailed information
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects or deadlines while coordinating information and deliverables across multiple stakeholders

  • Master of Library Science, Master of Library and Information Science, or equivalent graduate library degree
  • Experience implementing or migrating to an integrated library system or library services platform
  • Experience as a systems librarian, technical services librarian, electronic resources librarian, implementation librarian, or in a comparable library technology role
  • Experience in responding to RFPs, RFIs, technical questionnaires, procurement documents, or other formal customer requirements
Pay RangeUSD $60,240.00 - USD $86,060.00 /Yr.
