We are seeking a Customer Project Manager responsible for RAN (Radio Access Network) consulting and project management. You will identify, analyze, design, and develop commercially viable end-to-end technical solutions for customers. In this role you will also act as the customer-facing lead for the Network Design & Optimization business in Japan, accountable for generating profitable business for Ericsson by translating customer needs and technology opportunities into detailed technical offerings, solutions, and proposals.
Ericsson Radio Network Design & Optimization
Ericsson Network Design & Optimization (NDO) is developing and delivering design and optimization services to our customers (typically mobile network operators) in Japan. Feature and functionality introduction and other types of technology consulting services are also within the scope of our expertise.
When applicable, we conduct the design and optimization by developing and using cutting edge AI/Machine Learning technology, helping our customers (mobile operators) automating the optimization of their networks.
NDO Japan (Currently called Analytics Japan) is also responsible for supporting network sales through technical consultation, anchored in deep network performance and product insight gained from advanced network analysis.
NDO Japan is aiming to be self-sustained in the sense that technical (pre-) sales support is integrated in the service delivery team, working in close cooperation with relevant customer accounts.
Job Summary
Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Scheduling - Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria with the customer.
  • Manage Customer Solution for Network Design and Optimization business
    Analyze customer technology, define business requirements
  • Be responsible for proposals and solutions, conduct technical discussion with customers, define and design solution offerings, driving end-to-end technical solutions
  • Work with key account managers and operation managers to optimize end-to-end sales process
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing
  • Provide consultative support for technology evolution.
  • Tailor solutions to operational needs and future growth.

About You:
You have project management experience in telecom industry and should have an interest in data analysis. Your technical expertise complements your customer interface and presentation skills, allowing you to both influence customer perception and drive problem resolution. You help to translate and bridge technical concepts between customers and internal stakeholders into tangible business plans and outcomes.
Some key qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor level in engineering (IT/Telecom or similar), OR at least 5 years of experience in telecommunication area e.g. 4G, 5G etc.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving and ability to collaborate with team members
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer project management or team leader/tech leader experience
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving ability to identify real root cause
  • Japanese language proficiency is mandatory
  • Strong Teamwork, collaboration skills and leadership skills
  • English language proficiency preferred
