The Customer Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of customer projects and programs within the railway and telecommunications environment. Acting as the primary interface for the customer throughout project execution, this role drives project planning, stakeholder management, financial performance, risk and opportunity management, and operational delivery. The Customer Project Manager ensures projects are delivered in accordance with contractual obligations, company methodologies, and quality standards while fostering strong customer relationships and business growth opportunities.
 
 
Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of customer projects and programs.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution and delivery.
  • Ensure contractual commitments, performance targets, and customer expectations are achieved.
  • Manage project financials, including forecasting, profitability, and cost control.
  • Drive change management activities and ensure alignment across all project stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication plans with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance through agreed KPIs and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company processes, methodologies, governance requirements, and health and safety standards.
  • Support pre-sales and business development activities by contributing project management expertise.
  • Identify opportunities for contract growth, renewal, and additional customer value.
  • Capture and apply lessons learned and best practices to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Must have:

  • 12 years+ of experience in Customer Project Management and Contract Management.
  • Proven experience managing complex customer-facing projects within railway, transportation, or telecommunications environments.
  • Strong knowledge of T2G, railway systems, and IP backbone networks.
  • Experience managing project financials, forecasting, and commercial performance.
  • Strong customer relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
    Ability to manage different projects, including different customer interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of risk management, change management, and project governance principles.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English and Hebrew.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is an advantage

  • Demonstrated rollout and deployment management experience.
