At Air Products, our European Shared Services Centre in Barcelona supports customers and operations across Europe in a truly international environment. We are looking for a Customer Payment Resolution Specialist to join our Credit & Collections team and help ensure timely customer payments while delivering an excellent customer experience. You will work closely with customers, sales teams, customer service and finance colleagues to resolve payment issues.

As our Customer Payment Resolution Specialist, you will...

✔️ Ensure timely collections of outstanding balances from customers according to Air Products’ credit & collections escalation policy

✔️ Ensuring customer calls and emails are responded to within department targets. Identify any customer complaints and escalate as appropriate

✔️ Anticipate and communicate with customer services, sales representative, customer about disputed items, present and potential payment issues, credit hold situation

✔️ Support and be backup for other collector’s associates

✔️ Liaise with the credit & collections team lead about all credit issues

✔️ Keep accurate and up to date logs of individual customer information


✅ Required

  • Fluency in Polish (C2/native level) and a communicative level of English
  • Completed studies (degree not required in Business Administration or Economics, but any completed studies are required)
  • Experience handling inbound and outbound customer communications by phone and email, preferably within Credit & Collections
  • Understanding of customer accounts and general business workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills

➕ Preferred / Would Be an Advantage

  • Czech, Slovak or Hungarian language skills
  • Experience negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience in collections, dispute management, account reconciliations and payment-related processes
  • Basic accounting knowledge, particularly customer accounting
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Educational background in Business Administration, Economics or a related field
