Customer Marketing Specialist OTC

About the role

Your role will include developing channel or shopper merchandising and promotion strategies. Analysing promotional effectiveness. You will be responsible for the development of merchandising and shelf visibility. Designing, developing and implementing communication programs to advertise the organisation’s products using media (TV, radio, print, direct mail, the Internet), events, and sales promotions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver profitable category & brand share growth by working with marketing on localization and activation of the global / area category & brand vision and strategies through to the customer

  • Lead the creation of the strategic shopper / customer plan and assets for Haleon categories working with key trade customers

  • Coordinate and drive POS planning, implementation and evaluation processes across the channel and key customers for relevant Haleon categories

  • Coordinate processes aimed at creating and implementing displays and POS materials, to ensure the best possible visibility and availability of Haleon products to consumers

  • Handle all budgets allocated to the department (planning/follow up)

Business Partnering

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams at Haleon in respect to customer actional plans

  • Support sales team with all channel / customer activity related information, materials

  • Support KAMs in building relationship with key trade partners.

Developing Deep Understanding of Brands, Shoppers, Key Customers

  • for shopper knowledge, routinely visit stores with different reps (once per quarter, at minimum), talk to consumers in-store, mine previous consumer and shopper research, and conduct new research

Building Visibility Programs

  • build strong visibility programs for our quarterly priorities so that we realize our goal of being best in the industry re: in-store visibility in Pharmacy Channel

  • once visibility program is aligned, lead the execution process

Continuously Evaluating and Improving Activations

  • as we achieve sustainable success in categories, develop strong collaboration with customers to help them understand how GSK is building categories and drive improved customer partnering and shopper execution plans that result in increased traffic, conversion, loyalty, basket value and positive ROI

Why you? 

Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree, preferably in Economics or Business Administration

  • Fluency in both Hungarian and English

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer marketing/shopper marketing/ trade marketing/sales

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within FMCG shopper marketing is an advantage

  • Experience in developing and delivering of customer activation plans

  • Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills is an advantage

  • Experience with MS Office programs

  • Very good analytical skills
