What You Will Be Doing

The Customer Marketing Programs Manager will help build and execute ChargePoint’s customer marketing initiatives to strengthen customer relationships, support retention and expansion efforts, and elevate customer success stories across the business. This role is responsible for customer communications, lifecycle engagement programs, advocacy initiatives, and customer storytelling. Working closely with Customer Success, Sales, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, and Communications/PR, you will create programs that keep customers informed and engaged, support expansion opportunities, and make customer proof points accessible across the organization. The role requires balancing strategy and execution while developing scalable processes that improve customer engagement and business outcomes. 

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
  • Own and execute customer communications, including recurring customer newsletters, product updates, customer success stories, event communications, and customer-facing announcements. 
  • Partner with Communications/PR to align customer messaging with earnings communications, product launches, press releases, and corporate milestones.
  • Drive customer engagement before, during, and after ChargePoint events, industry conferences, and partner activations.
  • Support the creation and management of Customer Advisory Boards and strategic customer engagement forums.
  • Develop and execute lifecycle marketing programs supporting onboarding, adoption, renewal, retention, and expansion goals.
  • Partner with Customer Success and Sales to identify upsell, cross-sell, and customer expansion opportunities across hardware, software, and services offerings.
  • Create targeted campaigns and promotions that reinforce customer value and support growth objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a repeatable “User Group in a Box” program that enables Field, Sales, and Partner teams to conduct customer user groups effectively.
  • Build and maintain a customer reference library with clear governance, approval status, usage guidelines, and segmentation.
  • Lead customer case study development from concept through production and distribution.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to translate customer outcomes into compelling customer success stories and proof points.
  • Enable Sales, Marketing, Communications/PR, and Events teams to access and leverage customer references, testimonials, videos, and speaking opportunities.
  • Use engagement metrics and business insights to assess effectiveness and recommend program improvements.
  • Leverage AI tools such as Claude, Canva, and similar platforms to improve content creation, analysis, and program execution.
  • Collaborate effectively across Customer Success, Sales, Product Marketing, Field Marketing, and Communications/PR teams. 
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B customer marketing, lifecycle marketing, customer advocacy, or related marketing functions. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience building customer marketing, lifecycle, retention, or advocacy programs.
  • Experience executing scalable marketing programs and measuring performance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively across multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate independently in fast-paced and evolving environments.
  • Experience using AI tools for content development, analysis, and program execution.
  • Ability to use engagement data and business insights to inform recommendations and decisions.
  • Proven ability to create customer case studies, testimonials, customer videos, or related advocacy content.
  • Strong project and program management skills.
  • Data-oriented approach to measuring and improving program outcomes

  • Experience in infrastructure, technology, energy, or related industries. 
Location

 US Remote

The base salary range for this role is $125,217 – $165,600 per year. In addition, this position is eligible for annual merit-based RSU grants. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); paid time off; parental leave; life and disability insurance; and wellness resources.

Compensation may be adjusted based on work location.
