Customer Manager, Independent - Mars Petcare
Phoenix, AZ
The Customer Manager position is responsible for achieving profitable sales growth for Mars Petcare business customers. This role is expected to maintain strong relationships and deliver best executed customer plans with keen focus on revenue, growth, profit, product/assortment, everyday shelving, merchandising, pricing, promotions, and seasonal merchandising.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with focus in Business Administration
1-3 years of experience in Sales and/or Marketing within FMCG / CPG industries
Prior Account Management experience desired
Fluent in Word, Excel, Teams and Power Point
Understanding of forecasting process, trade management and syndicated data sources
Availability to travel 50% of time with a valid driver’s license, and clean driving record
What would be your key responsibilities?
Provide expertise to achieve excellence in retail execution and instill within the program to achieve strong results at the point of sale
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with store personnel along with company leaders to drive growth through store programs
Manage customer trade in conjunction with RGM guidelines for maximum return on investment
Demonstrated ability to sell ideas, concepts, and programs to customers
A strong understanding and experience in merchandising, customer relations and educating store associates
Measure and evaluate specific territory business (KPI’s, trends, distribution gaps/opportunities)
