The team
ING’s Payment & Settlement Services (PSS) is dedicated to advancing and expanding our state-of-the-art payments and settlement services. Our focus is on delivering exceptional payment and settlement solutions that meet and exceed the expectations of ING’s business lines, while ensuring safety, security, compliance, and reliability. PSS operates as an independent unit within ING’s CTO domain, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

PSS provides standardized payment and settlement services to various ING business lines, including Wholesale Banking and Retail. Recently, PSS has transformed into a true services-based organization. To fulfill our ambitious goals, we have structured ourselves into a strategically and commercially focused entity. Over the past year, our Expert Team has undertaken numerous activities requiring extensive data collection and regular report generation, such as the Service Volume Database that is used in reporting to our stakeholders (e.g. to calculate the unit costs of our services). As more processes depend on our data, we need dedicated support to manage these critical tasks efficiently.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Gather and maintain data for various reporting needs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Create and distribute regular reports, including managing the Service Volume Database and preparation materials for meetings with our Service Recipients.
  • Manage and execute the monthly calendar for Business Intelligence (BI) reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of processes that depend on data, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Work closely with team members and stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide the necessary support.
  • Identify opportunities for improving data collection and reporting processes, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency.
  • Initiate and support projects to improve data and reporting in PSS.

Furthermore, you have:

  • Current residency in the Netherlands
  • Experience in data collection, management, and reporting, preferably within a financial services context in a banking or financial environment
  • Proficiency in using data analysis and reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel. Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
