At Cerrion, we're building the future of AI-enabled manufacturing. Headquartered in Zurich with more than $25M in funding from Creandum, Y Combinator, and top Silicon Valley investors, we're building the industrial AI platform to deploy AI Agents that can see what's happening on the production floor, automatically spot problems, and instantly intervene to keep lines running smoothly, at scale. Our technology is live in factories across 18+ countries, helping leading manufacturers in glass, beverage, food, CPG, building materials, and wood cut downtime by up to 50%.
As a Customer Integration Engineer, you are the technical bridge between Cerrion and our customers' IT and security teams. Your mission is to make it easy and secure for enterprise customers to connect to and run Cerrion in their environment.
You lead the technical onboarding and expansion workstreams with customer IT: guiding networking, connectivity, authentication, and data-flow setup, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with our internal infrastructure team. You also join sales conversations as the technical voice on integration, architecture, and security, helping our team remove technical blockers on the way to a signed deal.
This is a customer-facing, high-ownership role at the front lines of scaling a real-world AI platform into complex enterprise and industrial environments. It suits someone highly structured, who tracks every open item and fights to get customers live.
Own customer IT onboarding and expansions: act as the primary technical contact for customer IT and security during deployment and scaling, driving all required connectivity and configuration to completion.
Guide integrations end-to-end: lead customers through setup and validation of networking and access requirements (firewalls, allowlists, VPNs and tunnels, ports, DNS, certificates, proxies, reverse proxies), working in lockstep with Cerrion's infrastructure team.
Lead the customer security review process: own the timeline and delivery of customer security questionnaires and due diligence requests. Coordinate with internal security engineering to curate responses, manage escalations, and maintain our standard compliance answer library.
Support technical resale and sales engineering: join customer and prospect calls to explain our architecture and security setup, answer technical objections, and help move deals forward.
Document customer installations: produce clear, structured as-builts and integration notes that support long-term reliability and internal handoff.
Build scalable enablement assets: create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, diagrams, and FAQs for customer IT and security stakeholders and internal teams.
Must-have
Strong networking fundamentals with hands-on experience in TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, IPsec, DNS, firewalls and allowlists, certificates, and proxy and reverse-proxy environments.
Solid grounding in IT security and the questions enterprise security teams ask.
Customer-facing enterprise experience: you have worked directly with IT and security teams in support, solutions, implementation, forward-deployed, sales engineering, or similar roles.
Ability to lead technical calls independently, explain tradeoffs clearly, and drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Highly structured way of working: you keep meticulous track of open items and don't let details slip.
A get-it-done mindset: pragmatic, biased toward action, and persistent in getting customers live securely and quickly, without losing rigor.
Strong documentation habits: you produce clean, reusable artifacts and keep records current.
Fluent English, spoken and written. German is a big plus, and other languages are welcome.
Nice-to-have
Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar frameworks.
Exposure to industrial and OT environments, hybrid and on-prem deployments, or edge and IoT systems.
Familiarity with manufacturing frameworks like ISA-95 and protocols like OPC-UA.
Fundamentals of Linux, Docker, and GitHub.
Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
Performance Expectations
Time to go live for customer integration workstreams.
Customer IT satisfaction and low friction during onboarding and expansions.
Clear, complete installation and integration documentation for every customer.
Contribution to deals unblocked through technical support.
Ownership & impact: You own the secure onboarding “front door” for enterprise customers. Your work directly determines how fast, and how safely, customers can deploy Cerrion at scale, influencing revenue, retention, and product direction.
Culture: We operate with flat hierarchies and a get‑things‑done mentality. You’ll work with ambitious colleagues from all over the world in a collaborative environment where the best idea wins.
Compensation & equity: Competitive salary, meaningful stock options, and benefits aligned with an early-stage company scaling fast.
Location: Modern office in the heart of Zurich; enjoy the quality of life of Switzerland and the dynamism of a high‑growth startup.
If you want to sit at the intersection of enterprise networking and real-world AI deployments and you like owning customer-critical work end-to-end - we’d love to talk.
