Position Summary
Own the customer relationship and the revenue outcome from RFQ through purchase order for an assigned set of accounts. Convert quotes into orders, reactivate lapsed demand, uncover share growth opportunities, and feed accurate demand signal back into the business so Central stocks and prices the right parts. This is a customer support and engagement role with revenue targets. You will work alongside Regional Sales Managers, distributors, and manufacturer representatives to grow your assigned accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver accurate quotes and re-quotes; coordinate internally to resolve pricing, lead time, and technical questions.
• Execute disciplined quote follow-up to drive quote-to-PO conversion and reduce quote aging or expiration.
• Demand recovery and expansion. Re-engage stalled and lapsed demand, and identify opportunities to increase share during discovery and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate opportunity and account records including stage, next steps, timing, and customer communication.
• Execute assigned outbound prospecting or lead management campaigns as needed to support growth and territory development.
Post-Sale Responsibilities
• Process purchase orders, order acknowledgements, changes, cancellations, and returns/RMAs with speed and accuracy.
• Coordinate internally to support on-time shipment and provide proactive status, ETA, and risk communication to customers.
• Resolve post-sale issues through closure, including delivery discrepancies, documentation requests, and credits or returns, and prevent escalations through early intervention.
• Maintain required documentation discipline, including part/revision accuracy and readiness of required paperwork.
• Manage post-PO requests end-to-end, prioritizing urgent items and escalating early with context when risk is identified.
• Maintain accurate system records for orders, cases, and customer requests to ensure visibility and accountability.
• Cross-cover urgent items outside the primary lane as needed to protect customer experience and revenue.
Shared & Operational Responsibilities
• Maintain strong working relationships with customers, distributors, manufacturer representatives, and Regional Sales Managers.
• Possess and communicate a thorough understanding of Central’s products, pricing, and market conditions.
• Enter and maintain quotations, design wins, point-of-sale data, and customer activity in AS/400 and related systems.
• Assist customers with product information, technical inquiries, engineering requests, and quality complaints using established systems.
• Continuous improvement. Contribute to the automation of the quoting process and the broader modernization of Central's commercial systems.
• Maintain organized electronic and paper records related to customer and distributor activity.
• Prepare activity and performance summaries for leadership, including trends, opportunities, and issues.
• Follow documented work instructions (CWIs), quality policies, and company processes.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
