Since our public launch, we've crossed $100M in ARR and grown to over 10M users across 190+ countries. We're backed by Khosla Ventures, SoftBank, Google, Lightspeed, Prosus, Together, and Y Combinator.
We're solving the hard part of AI-driven software creation: correctness, reliability, security, and scale in real production systems. The team is built by repeat founders, Olympiad medalists, IIT & IIM alumni, and leaders from Google, Amazon, and Dropbox.
We're hiring builders who want ownership, speed, and impact at global scale.
The Role:
We're hiring a User Research Lead to be the voice of the customer at Emergent. With millions of users building on our platform across 190+ countries, understanding who they are, what they need, and why they behave the way they do is critical to how we build. You'll own the research function end-to-end, from scoping and planning studies to moderating interviews, synthesizing insights, and driving them into action across product, success, and sales teams.
What You'll Do:
- Convert research objectives into plans: own scoping, cohort definition, sample sizing, reachout plans, and questionnaire design
- Moderate user interviews: probe well, stay neutral, and extract the real answer
- Synthesize insights: analyze surveys and data, and drive actionable insights for the business
- Present results well: align key stakeholders, present findings, uncover second-order deep-dive insights, and publish a repository of past research
- Work across research methods including data analysis, surveys, and interviews
- Partner with success, product, and sales teams to turn user insights into decisions
- 6 to 10 years of experience in user research and synthesis of insights
- Experience in CX, UX, or UI research, preferably for consumer companies
- Comfortable with a range of research methods including data, surveys, and interviews
- Strong communication skills to manage key stakeholders across functions: success, product, sales, and user interviews
- Background at leading customer research agencies (such as Nielsen, Kantar, IPSOS, RNB Research, MarketXcel, or Gartner) or user-first customer organisations
- Immediate or short notice period joiners preferred
- Daily Meals: Lunch and Dinner provided
- Family Insurance: 3 Lakhs worth of coverage for you and your family
- Unlimited Paid Time Off: Take the time you need to recharge and come back refreshed
- Flexible Working Hours: Work arrangements that fit your life and commitments
