Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain customer networks using Nokia software and devices. 

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems related to network deployment for customers. 

  • Perform analysis involving solution definition, requirements development, and network architecture. 

  • Provide input into system development design involving interface specifications, data migration Methods of Procedure, failure mode analysis, capacity guidelines, and performance analysis. 

  • Develop configuration templates for software and hardware, network capacity, network traffic control and resource performance. 

  • Assist customers with network system element integration, including customizing documentation, performing software updates, establishing and validating connectivity to network and element management system, testing alarms, timing and synchronization, redundancy, call flows, services, and any customer or country specific tests necessary to ensure the passing of voice calls, data, and video traffic to get customer acceptance and sign off.

  • Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards, or operational plans in support of business strategies.  

  • Analyze, develop, and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert.  #LI-DNI

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 100% from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electronics Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience (5 years of which must be post-baccalaureate progressive related work experience) Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electronics Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field, and 4 years of related work experience.

 

  • Must have 3 years of experience using GPON and XGS-PON;

  • Must have 3 years of experience using Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols;

  • Must have 3 years of experience facilitating IPTV video service delivery;

  • Must have 3 years of experience performing network engineering and design;

  • Must have 3 years of experience performing network integration;

  • Must have 3 years of experience performing system integration testing;

  • Must have 3 years of experience using network element management systems; and,

  • Must have 3 years of Software Defined Access Networks (SDAN) experience including, configuration and migration.

 

Telecommuting permitted up to 100% from anywhere in the U.S.

Domestic travel required up to 50%.

International travel required up to 5%.
