Customer Engagement Representative
The Language Doctors, Inc. is a U.S.-based language services provider committed to delivering accurate and culturally relevant communication solutions. We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Customer Engagement Representative to join our growing team.
Position Overview
As a Customer Engagement Representative, you will be the first point of contact for new client requests. You’ll manage incoming leads (via email, phone, web forms, or live chat), qualify opportunities, and guide clients through the initial stages of our sales process. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to build trust quickly, and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple requests efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound leads quickly and professionally (emails, calls, forms, live chat).
- Qualify requests by gathering all required information (service type, language, duration, deadlines, etc.).
- Provide initial cost estimates and explain service policies and conditions to set clear client expectations.
- Work with the Production team to confirm final pricing and ensure a seamless project handoff
- Track all interactions and updates in the CRM system.
- Maintain excellent client relationships and ensure a positive customer
experience.
- Follow up with clients to ensure their needs are met and projects move forward.
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional services when appropriate.
- Share feedback on client interactions to help improve the inbound process and conversion rates.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Answer the Main Sales Line in coordination with other representatives.
- Assign and create deals in HubSpot for new OTR leads.
- Redirect complex client requests to the Sales Manager when necessary.
- Execute quarterly upselling and cross-selling campaigns via email and phone.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in inbound sales, inside sales, or customer support (B2B or B2C).
- Both oral and written English proficiency (at a minimum, C1 advanced level) is required. Knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build trust quickly.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple client requests simultaneously.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred).
- Problem-solver with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in translation, interpretation, or linguistic services (a plus, not required).
- Understanding of cross-selling and account management.
- Previous collaboration with marketing/sales teams to improve client conversion rates.
Available Schedule:
- Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM ET
