Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Customer Engagement Manager 1. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the SDS Division.

What You’ll Get To Do: 

The Customer Engagement Manager will serve on the SDS Government Relations team as the central conduit between Northrop Grumman’s senior leadership and its Department of Defense customers, ensuring that all engagement activities are meticulously planned, coordinated, and executed. Reporting directly to the Division Government Relations Senior Manager, this position is entrusted with fostering seamless communication across a broad spectrum of internal stakeholders—including the Executive Leadership Team, Government and Community Relations, Facilities, Security, Communications, and Program Leads—while simultaneously acting as the primary point of contact for external customers. The incumbent will drive process‑oriented initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of high‑visibility meetings, briefings, and events, thereby strengthening strategic relationships and supporting the division’s mission-critical objectives. Success in this role requires a highly organized, self‑motivated professional with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a proven ability to collaborate across multiple functional areas, and a keen aptitude for managing complex, time‑sensitive projects within a fast‑paced, mission‑focused environment.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.  

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years related experience, or Master's Degree and 3 years of experience or in lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of related experience

  • 1 year experience leading projects or cross-functional teams 

  • At least 4 years of DoW/ Military experience

  • Experience preparing senior-level material, reports and presentations

  • Experience presenting to senior officials / large audiences

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Interim Top Secret clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 yrs), with the ability to obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance. With an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of Prior military or Dept. of War experience and or US Airforce experience.

  • Experience with ICBM operations/maintenance/sustainment.

  • Rapidly accepts change and inspires change in organizations in a positive, inclusive way.

  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently.

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

  • Current active DoW Top Secret Clearance and Sentinel CJ2 Read-In 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an above average ability to present and speak publicly. 

Primary Level Salary Range: $104,500.00 - $156,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
