The Application Engineer acts as a technical liaison between the company and its customers, providing expertise in product application, system integration, and technical support. This role involves collaborating with sales, marketing, and R&D teams to deliver tailored solutions, optimize product performance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Technical Support & Consultation
Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers and internal teams
Assist in assessing customer requirements and propose suitable product solutions
Application Development & Demonstration
Develop reference designs, demo boards, and prototypes to showcase product capabilities
Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for customers and FAE
Documentation & Communication
Prepare technical documentation, including design guides, test reports, etc. for customer and FAE
Collaborate with marketing and NPD teams on new product definitions and validations
System Integration & Testing
Validate product performance in customer applications and troubleshoot technical issues.
Perform lab evaluations, measurements, and simulations to ensure compliance with specifications
Continuous Improvement
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance application solutions
Participate in process optimization and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification
Experience:
Proven experience in AE, FAE, client/computing product power engineer or equivalent professional qualification role
Familiarity with power electronics, multiphase buck, or semiconductor products (preferred for cloud/computing/client roles)
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in tools such as Simplis, Q3D, Mathcad, Orcad, Allegro or similar software
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
Travel ( 10~25%) to meet with worldwide customers and field engineers
Preferred Attributes
Knowledge of multi-phase DC/DC converters for client, computing application
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously
