The Automotive MPU CAS role is a customer-facing technical position focused on enabling NXP’s advanced iMX95 MPU platforms (iMX8/9/RT) in automotive applications. It bridges design-in support, system-level consulting, and ensuring successful deployment of Automotive IVI applications.

Job Responsibilities

  • Customer Application Support
    Provide technical assistance to OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and partners for NXP Automotive iMX MPU platforms.
  • Design-In Enablement
    Guide customers through hardware/software integration, GPU, NPU, AI Accelerators
  • System-Level Consulting
    Advise on IVI SW architectures, system partitioning for IVI programs.
  • Pre- & Post-Sales Technical Engagement
    Deliver technical presentations, demos, PoC evaluations, application notes, and training materials.
  • Development & Debug Support
    Assist with boot configuration, DDR setup, multi-core initialization, and validate AUTOSAR/Linux / Andoird / Apple Carplay stacks, hypervisors, and real-time drivers.
  • Escalation & Issue Management
    Follow structured escalation procedures for unresolved technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in embedded software development, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Strong proficiency in C/C++/Linux / Android programming for embedded systems.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems - Linux, Android OS, Apple Car Play, QNX, Hypervisors
  • Familiarity with automotive embedded systems.
  • Experience with MPU architectures, including architecture understanding and peripheral interaction.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Knowledge of automotive functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) is a plus.
