As part of our Sales team, the Mid Market Customer Account Manager will have the opportunity to lead Shopmonkey’s customer expansion initiatives in our Mid Market segment. You are responsible for building relationships with customers and expanding their spend with Shopmonkey via additional licenses, add-ons, and new products. This is a closing role cross selling into the install base of thousands of Shopmonkey customers. Please note this is a hybrid role, with in-office expectations 2 days/week in our Marin County, California WeWork office.
As a Customer Account Manager, you will:
- Build and maintain a pipeline of high-quality opportunities within our mid-market customer base
- Define and execute new sales strategies to effectively showcase the impact Shopmonkey can make in customer’s lives
- Communicate accurate and realistic forecast information to the management team by ensuring our CRM is being utilized and managed effectively
- Learn tried and true SaaS sales strategies
- Learn all about the Shopmonkey full product suite, our customer's journey, and the automotive industry
- Empathize with customers, understand their needs and challenges from their POV, recommend and take action on areas where we can help
- Identify areas of the software that our customers are engaging in, drive deeper adoption, up-sell and cross-sell additional products and services
- Communicate thoughtful, customized solutions that help customers move forward and grow their business
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably at a technology company, with a track record of top performance.
- Experience managing month to month and multi annual contracts with multiple products in use
- Ability to understand Shopmonkey's technology platform and build meaningful relationships with customers of varying technical savvy.
- Aptitude to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated passion for the startup community and new technology businesses.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with an abundance of charisma, empathy, humility, and humor.
- Thirst for personal growth, team player mentality, and equal willingness to teach and learn.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% with onsite visits to clients
This position is compensated with a base salary of $70,000 to $80,000 with an uncapped commission target of $70,000 to $80,000 annually. This position is also eligible for equity and standard company benefits
