Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer(RedHat OpenShift Container), you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, code, and enhance various components across systems or applications. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions, while also addressing any challenges that arise during the development process. Your role will require a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement in software development practices.
Key Responsibilities
1) Installation, Upgrade, configuration of RHOCP.
2) Troubleshoot issues with worker nodes, maintenance and scale-out tasks.
3) LDAP sync configuration, add/remove users and assign roles to group/users.
4) Create, modify and delete projects. Assign project specific roles to users/groups.
5) Assist apps team on resolving issues with pods like crashloopbackoff, image pull back and other errors.
6) Create, modify, delete network policy rules based on customer requirements.
7) Service account mgmt, role creation and assigning roles.
8) Create, Modify SCC based on custom requirement and assign to specific projects
9) Configure/modify project quotas and limit ranges. Assist apps team on issues with quotas and limits.
10) Check cluster utilization and share reports to business when needed.
11) Forecast capacity growth requirements and handle capacity increase.
12) Perform daily health checks of the cluster and fix issues based on observations.
13) Plan and schedule CRs, Co-ordinating with different stakeholders.
14) Perform RCA for major INCs
15) Installation and configuration of ODF/RHACS/RHACM, Redhat Gitops, Redhat Logging, LokiStack/ELK/EFK
16) Integrating Redhat Quay with OCP cluster
17) Backup and recovery of OCP cluster resources/namespaces using tools like Netbackup/CommVault etc.
18) Setting up Alert Manager integration with webhooks,email,slack etc
19) Creation and configuration of OCP resources like PV,PVC's,Storage classes,routes,Ingresses etc
20) Participate in on-call support and planned maintenance activities
21) Perform certificate management.
Required Skills & Experience
Must be willing to work in Work week of Sunday to Thursday (Middle East Work hours)
6-8 years of hands-on experience in RedHat OpenShift Container Platform
Strong expertise in RHOCP installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
Work experience of RHOCP with Maximo Application Suite will be an added advantage.
Experience supporting mission-critical, high-availability systems
Exposure of working with time critical tasks and activities, must have good communication skills.
